Stephen Bridges, a native from gorgeous Prince George’s County, MD, is a certified Personal Fitness Trainer through the International Sports & Sciences Association (ISSA). He has several years of professional experience through various public health organizations. Coach Bridges also works as a Stylist/Colorist in a prominent salon in the Capitol Hill area of Washington, DC. After many years of work (like many in his generation), he found himself confronting the prospect of chronic ailments. This began his path to victory when he decided ‘that we can transform our bodies!’ In his late, late 50s, he was convinced that at the forefront and center of his life, his new focus should be physical & mental health.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Stephen realized being part of an under-served community—Americans 50+ years of age—he wanted to make physical fitness a priority. Stephen passionately believes that we can no longer take our physical and mental well-being for granted, as doing so dramatically decreases our life expectancy. “Trying to get in shape is frustrating at any age, but it can be more discouraging when you’re older and wondering if it’s even possible,” says Stephen as he empathizes with his clients.
Stephen’s core belief: Getting fit after 50 can happen when you give yourself a new outlook and say “yes” to life.
